Our 2012 season features 12 events throughout Windsor and Essex County. Our events are family friendly with something for everyone, walkers, runners and wheelers of every age.
Over 200 members compete for points within their age group. Winners of the WRACE season are announced at the annual banquet in January with awards for each age group.(Jan. 1st age used for season)
Volunteers are essential to our organization assisting from registration to water stations to providing refreshments at the end of the race. For without their help, we would not exist. Our volunteer executive committee works hard at organizing our events.
History of WRACE:
In 1988, Jerry Slavik and Dave Orshinsky, two local (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) athletes began raising money for local charities through running and walking events.
WRACE is a nonprofit organization for walkers, runners and wheelers of all ages and abilities.
